Good to know
Before you start
Use the price on your bill
The tools start with a typical price per kWh (about 0,30 € in the EU or 26p under the UK price cap). Type in your own unit rate for a closer answer.
kW and kWh
Power (kW) is how hard something works at a given moment. Energy (kWh) is power over time: a 2 kW heater running for 3 hours uses 6 kWh. Your bill charges per kWh.
Heating is the big one
In most homes, heating costs more than everything else put together. Insulation and draught-proofing usually pay back faster than a new boiler.
