Good to know
Before you start
Check the label first
Care labels show the safest settings, not the only ones. Washing cooler and drying on a line saves energy and is kinder to most fabrics.
Measure the window, then add
Curtains look best wider than the window: poles usually run 15–20 cm past each side, and the fabric is 1.5 to 2.5 times the pole width.
Room first, screen second
The right TV depends on how far away you sit and the room's light. Measure from your seat to the wall before choosing a size.
